Professor Microbiology, STEM
It is my pleasure to serve as a Professor of Biology at 蘑菇视频. My time with 蘑菇视频 began in 1996 as a student on campus when it was known as Garland County Community College. As a student I was very involved in the college鈥檚 Alpha Beta Psi chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) honor society, student-led tutoring, and socializing with fellow students. My experiences with faculty and the skills gained through the MLT program here at 蘑菇视频 led me to further my education and work experience in North Carolina. While in attendance at High Point University I worked in a Biotechnology company full-time. I was able to obtain such great employment solely because of the education and skills I obtained at 蘑菇视频. I went on to attend a Doctoral program in Biomedical Science at the University of Florida College of Medicine where I performed novel and ground-breaking fundamental medical research in Microbiology and Immunology. My research culminated not only in a wealth of expertise in my subject matter but also in the publication of three primary authorship and five co-authorship articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals. My greatest accomplishment is sharing my experience and expertise with the students at 蘑菇视频. I am passionate about teaching student microbiology. I also enjoy my service as the advisor for our PTK chapter on campus and Regional Coordinator for the Oklahoma/Arkansas Region of PTK. Investing in the lives of students in any way possible is my greatest passion. In my spare time I enjoy camping and fishing. I enjoy being at home with my family and two dogs. I returned home to Hot Springs in 2011 with my current lifestyle in mind. There is no place like home and that includes 蘑菇视频.
