John Day is a Louisiana native that has lived in Hot Springs, AR for over 20 years. Day holds a B.A. in Speech Communication from Louisiana Tech University and a M.A. in Criminal Justice from Northeast Louisiana University, now the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Day worked for the Louisiana Department of Corrections as a probation and parole officer for ten years. He retired as a U.S. Probation Officer for the Western District of Arkansas after twenty-one years. Day began teaching college classes at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ as an adjunct instructor in 2012, teaching Criminal Justice and Intro to Sociology. He worked full time at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Career Academy before joining the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Criminal Justice faculty. Day currently teaches Criminal Justice and Sociology courses. Day is an active member of the Pocket Community Theater as an actor and director.
